We don't often take this much interest in items that aren't Army Surplus, but when Rich came across Ussen's path of Twitter, he was intrigued by this statement...

"A lack of real thermal underwear meant that during the winter of 2008 the two lads were left wearing base layers, which were fast wicking and help control body temperature but did not offer any insulation."

Ussen are absolutely right, the market is a wash with thin base layers designed to wick moisture away from our bodies, but when was the last time you saw something that first and foremost will keep you warm.
