Is work experience worth the hassle?Army Surplus Work Experience World of Work
In July we were asked by a customer if we could offer his eldest son some work experience. It's not something we've done regualry over the years, but something I'm keen to do more of (more on this in future posts).
I was very keen to ensure that then son, Ethan, got something out of it; so I wanted to know what he wanted to do.
Ethan is an avid writer, loves working on fiction, but would like to enter the working life as a journalist.
Great, I thought. I can set him the task of writing a press release of his work experience experience. He does something he's passionate about, we've given him a finite task for the week (as well as showing him all aspects of the business) and we could get some press out of it.
